[A]Module: Inline Files

Preliminary remark

The module "Inline Files" is not included in the standard version of SMASHDOCs but can be booked optionally.

1Basics

1.1Inline files can only be created in text components

1.2Allowed file formats:

(a)doc, docx

(b)xls, xlsx

(c)ppt, pptx

(d)pdf

1.3Maximum file size: 20Mb

1.4Metadata of an inline file

(a)Name

(b)Prefix (optional)

(c)Description (optional)

2Create, edit and delete an inline file

2.1Create a new inline file at cursor position

(a)Required role: Suggest, Approve

(b)Start creation process

(c)Insert an inline file

(i)via drag and drop

(ii)select a file stored locally on the computer

(iii)select a file already uploaded as an inline file in the document; the file can be selected from a corresponding list

(d)Cancel the creation process

2.2Edit inline file

(a)Required role: Suggest, Approve

(b)Update

(i)file and / or

(ii)metadata

2.3Delete inline file

(a)Required role: Suggest, Approve

2.4Download inline file

3Inline files directory

3.1Provide sub-tab "Inline files" to tab "Directory" in a document

3.2List of all inline files in the document

(a)Show list of all inline files in the document

(b)Search inline file by file name in the list

(c)Navigate to component with an inline file after clicking on a list entry

3.3List of all inline files of a text component

(a)Show list of all inline files to a text component after right click on an inline file in a text component

(b)Download inline file after right click on an inline file in a text component

(c)Edit inline file after right click on an inline file in a text component

(d)Delete inline file after right click on an inline file in a text component
